Hekman furniture had a few bumps in the road on its path to becoming a leader in the furniture industry. Although the founder Edsko Hekman had a dream of starting his furniture company once he migrated from the Netherlands to Michigan he had a set back and actually founded the Keebler Company. His passion for furniture making was passed along to his three sons and they in turn founded the Hekman Furniture Company. The same passions and skills that Edsko’s sons inherited from him have been passed down with the growth of Hekman Furniture. Careful selection of ingredients, the patient hands-on techniques and the exacting presentation remain the hallmarks of the Hekman Furniture Company. In 1993 Hekman acquired Woodmark Furniture, whose discriminating standards were a perfect match to Hekman’s long tradition of excellence. The two companies worked hand in hand to create beautiful casegoods and the finest upholstery.

Every order placed on our websites are shipped either with UPS/FedEx ground, a white glove delivery service or a curbside carrier, depending on what you select at checkout.

Curbside Delivery:
Curbside Delivery will be delivered to you home, but there will only be one delivery person so the pallet or boxes will not be brought inside or assembled. We will email you with the tracking number as soon as your order ships out, and the freight carrier will contact you to set up a delivery appointment once it is in your area. We provide a liftgate at delivery at no cost to you. Generally, the drivers will also assist you in bringing your order to the first dry area of your residence. Curbside deliveries take approximately 2-5 business days to complete.

White Glove Delivery:
This is the highest level of delivery service. All of the furniture will be brought inside your home, up to 2 flights of stairs inside your home, and assembled completely. The delivery company will also remove all of the packaging materials once the assembly is complete. White glove deliveries generally take 2-3 weeks to complete.
